James Hillary

Mr. Hillary is the Manager, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Resolute Capital Asset Partners LLC, the general partner of the Partnership. Previously, Mr. Hillary founded Independence Capital Asset Partners, LLC (“ICAP”) and served as Manager, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of ICAP from October 2004 through April 2015. At ICAP, Mr. Hillary directed the investment program of ICAP Absolute Return Fund, L.P. and certain other accounts. Prior to ICAP, Mr. Hillary was a member of Marsico Capital Management (MCM), a Denver-based, investment advisory firm. At MCM (1997-2004), Mr. Hillary was a senior analyst and portfolio manager. Between the 1989-1997, Mr. Hillary was an analyst at the investment firm W.H. Reaves & Co., in Jersey City, NJ. Between 1986-1989, Mr. Hillary worked for Price Waterhouse in New York City across various departments. Mr. Hillary has a BA degree in Economics from Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ) and a Law Degree from Fordham Law School (New York, NY).

Lance has been in the investment business for 30 years.  Prior to joining Resolute in 2018, he spent 20 years in the asset management business as an analyst and portfolio manager managing over $5B at Wells Capital before helping co-found Elk Creek Partners which grew to over $1.5B within 5 years.  He started his career at Hanifen Imhoff on the equity trading desk before moving into research and then moving to the buyside in 2000 at Denver Investment Advisors.  He has a BA from Middlebury College and is a CFA Charterholder

Beau has been a research analyst at Resolute for the past 5 years and was a summer intern for Independence Capital during his collegiate years.  Prior to joining Resolute in 2019, he was competing as a golf professional throughout several tours from 2014 – 2019.  Beau holds a BA from the University of Colorado.

Melanie joined Resolute after obtaining her BS in Chemical Engineering from UT Austin in 2025. She had previously interned as a Power Operations Analyst with Calpine for 2 summers where she engaged in large scale data analytics and thermodynamic modeling for financial and energetic efficiency evaluations.

Anita Falica﻿
Ms. Falicia helped found Resolute Capital in 2018 and serves as the firm’s COO and CCO.  Previously,  beginning in 2004, Anita worked in a similar capacity at Independence Capital Asset Partners, where she was responsible for all operational and compliance aspects of the firm’s hedge fund enterprise, overseeing the hedge funds themselves along with 40 act and UCITS products.  Ms. Falicia joined ICAP after serving as the Vice President of Investment Accounting, and the Principal Accounting Officer and Treasurer of the Janus Funds for Janus Capital Group in Denver, Colorado, from 1991 to 2004. Ms. Falicia holds a BSBA in Accounting from Creighton University and has completed the CPA examination series in Colorado.

Lars Soderberg

Lars has more than 40 years of experience in the alternative and traditional asset management industry and joined Resolute in 2025. In 2018 he co-founded A3 Financial Investments, an alternative credit firm. Preceding this, Soderberg was with Aqueduct Capital developing their private equity effort. From 2004 through 2015, he served at Independence Capital Asset Partners (ICAP) as Chief Marketing Officer for their hedge fund business and developed some of the asset management industries first alternative liquid 40 Act hedge fund and UCITS products.  Soderberg was with Janus Capital Group from 1995 to 2004, where he was an Executive Vice President and Managing Director. In addition to his various responsibilities in managing the firm’s Institutional distribution and marketing, he served on the executive committee and was President of Janus’ broker dealer. Soderberg began his career with Fidelity Investments from 1981 to 1995, where he held a variety of retail and institutional sales roles in Boston and Los Angeles. Soderberg received a B.A. from Denison University.
